Odv\u011bk\u00e9 alespo\u0148 optikou \u010dlov\u011bka, kter\u00fd se zrodil do p\u0159ev\u00e1\u017en\u011b slun\u00ed\u010dkov\u00e9ho sv\u011bta formuj\u00edc\u00edho se kyberprostoru na p\u0159elomu 80. a 90. let, jen\u017e d\u016frazn\u011b odd\u011bloval <strong>star\u00e9<\/strong> analogov\u00e9 a <strong>nov\u00e9 a lep\u0161\u00ed<\/strong> &#8211; digit\u00e1ln\u00ed. V\u00edme toho spoustu o tom, jak oba sign\u00e1ly funguj\u00ed, ale daleko v\u011bt\u0161\u00ed z\u00e1bava je zab\u00fdvat se t\u00edm, jak nefunguj\u00ed, tedy jak\u00fdm zp\u016fsobem a jak  \u201ekr\u00e1sn\u011b\u201c (esteticky) selh\u00e1vaj\u00ed. V\u017edy\u0165 chybov\u00e1n\u00ed je p\u0159irozen\u00e1 v\u011bc a mnohdy o n\u00e1s prozrad\u00ed daleko v\u00edc ne\u017e situace, kdy jde v\u0161echno podle pl\u00e1nu.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><em>text a foto: FiSHuGe<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Z\u0159ejm\u011b nejl\u00e9pe dovedeme reflektovat sv\u00e9 chyby prost\u0159ednictv\u00edm um\u011bn\u00ed, nebo\u0165 pr\u00e1v\u011b a jedin\u011b um\u011bn\u00ed dok\u00e1\u017ee kritizovat s jedine\u010dn\u00fdm p\u016fvabem. T\u00e9ma chybuj\u00edc\u00ed technologie se objevuje u\u017e s n\u00e1stupem modernismu a v sou\u010dasnosti je vlastn\u00ed um\u011bleck\u00fdm odv\u011btv\u00edm, kter\u00e1 \u010dasto sklo\u0148uj\u00ed pojem glitch nebo noise (<em>glitch art<\/em>, <em>glitch<\/em> a <em>noise music<\/em>). Glitch je v nej\u0161ir\u0161\u00edm slova smyslu neo\u010dek\u00e1van\u00e1 a zpravidla nep\u0159\u00edzniv\u00e1 ud\u00e1lost ve vztahu \u010dlov\u011bka a technologie. V dne\u0161n\u00edm sv\u011bt\u011b kompj\u016ftr\u016f se pou\u017e\u00edv\u00e1 jako ozna\u010den\u00ed pro z\u00e1vadu v digit\u00e1ln\u00edm prost\u0159ed\u00ed, kter\u00e1 se projevuje v\u00edcem\u00e9n\u011b \u201ekosmetick\u00fdmi\u201c efekty, jako je typicky rozpixelov\u00e1n\u00ed nebo <em>freeze<\/em> (zamrznut\u00ed) digit\u00e1ln\u00edho obrazu, p\u0159\u00edpadn\u011b \u0161um ve zvukov\u00e9m z\u00e1znamu. Glitchem v\u0161ak m\u016f\u017ee b\u00fdt prakticky i to, \u017ee v\u00e1m toustova\u010d sp\u00e1l\u00ed topinku (pokud tedy zrovna netrp\u00edte karcinogenn\u00ed \u00fachylkou a nestalo se to z\u00e1m\u011brn\u011b). V\u00fdklad pojmu je toti\u017e asi tak subjektivn\u00ed jako je n\u00e1zor na\u0161ich prarodi\u010d\u016f na v\u0161echny ty internety, proto jej nelze omezovat pouze na digit\u00e1ln\u00ed prost\u0159ed\u00ed. Glitch artem pak rozum\u00edme um\u011bn\u00ed, kter\u00e9 tyto chyby z\u00e1m\u011brn\u011b vyvol\u00e1v\u00e1 nebo imituje k pot\u011b\u0161e na\u0161ich smysl\u016f.<\/p>\n<p>Kv\u016fli rozd\u00edln\u00e9 povaze analogov\u00e9ho a digit\u00e1ln\u00edho sign\u00e1lu m\u016f\u017eeme ale p\u0159edpokl\u00e1dat, \u017ee se i projevy jejich naru\u0161en\u00ed (glitch\u016f) budou n\u011bjak\u00fdm zp\u016fsobem li\u0161it. Povahou nem\u00edn\u00edm nic jin\u00e9ho ne\u017e skute\u010dnost, \u017ee analogov\u00fd sign\u00e1l je matematicky zn\u00e1zorn\u011bn jako spojit\u00e1 funkce v r\u00e1mci kontinu\u00e1ln\u00edho \u010dasu. B\u011bhem dvou minut se v\u00e1m prost\u011b postupn\u011b a spojit\u011b p\u0159ip\u00e1l\u00ed toust a nezbyde v\u00e1m, ne\u017e jej vyhodit do ko\u0161e. Naopak digit\u00e1ln\u00ed sign\u00e1l je funkce, kter\u00e1 reprezentuje sekvenci diskr\u00e9tn\u00edch, tedy (v \u010dase) odd\u011blen\u00fdch hodnot. Topinka ve Photoshopu m\u016f\u017ee b\u00fdt pro svou diskr\u00e9tnost jak sp\u00e1len\u00e1, tak namazan\u00e1 marmel\u00e1dou nebo m\u016f\u017ee s ru\u010dn\u00edkem kolem pasu tancovat p\u0159ed zrcadlem macarenu. Whatever. Kdy\u017e se ale v po\u010d\u00edta\u010di jej\u00ed data trochu pomuchlaj\u00ed (vlivem chybn\u00e9ho ulo\u017een\u00ed, exportu, p\u0159enosu, apod.), m\u016f\u017ee se klidn\u011b st\u00e1t, \u017ee bude ve v\u00fdsledku vypadat jako tukan s alzheimerem nebo vypadat prost\u011b nebude.<\/p>\n<p>Slovy um\u011blce a teoretika <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/lab404.com\/glitch\/\" target=\"_blank\">Curta Cloningera<\/a><\/strong> je analogov\u00fd glitch naru\u0161en\u00edm kvalitativn\u011b v\u00edce postupn\u00fdm, zat\u00edmco efekt digit\u00e1ln\u00edho glitche se m\u016f\u017ee dramaticky m\u011bnit. Spojitost analogov\u00e9ho sign\u00e1lu m\u00e1 tedy za n\u00e1sledek to, \u017ee je obraz nebo zvuk v p\u0159\u00edpad\u011b z\u00e1vady naru\u0161en sp\u00ed\u0161e kontinu\u00e1ln\u011b a plynule. Digit\u00e1ln\u00ed glitch je naopak kv\u016fli sv\u00e9 diskr\u00e9tnosti trhav\u00fd, p\u0159eru\u0161ovan\u00fd a n\u00e1hl\u00fd. Tento rozd\u00edl je evidentn\u00ed na srovn\u00e1n\u00ed klasick\u00e9 fotografie, kter\u00e1 vznikla ve vadn\u00e9m fo\u0165\u00e1ku a digit\u00e1ln\u00ed verze t\u00e9 sam\u00e9 fotky, jej\u00ed\u017e data jsme trochu po\u0161k\u00e1dlili v hex editoru. Postupn\u00e9 p\u0159echody analogov\u00e9ho v\u00fdjevu kontrastuj\u00ed se skokov\u00fdm naru\u0161en\u00edm digit\u00e1ln\u00edho obrazu, kter\u00e9 odhaluje makrobloky \u2013 z\u00e1kladn\u00ed stavebn\u00ed jednotky JPEGu.<\/p>\n<div id='gallery-1' class='gallery galleryid-3806 gallery-columns-2 gallery-size-thumbnail'><figure class='gallery-item'>\n\t\t\t<div class='gallery-icon landscape'>\n\t\t\t\t<a href='https:\/\/www.vagus.cz\/wp-content\/glitch-analog.jpg'><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vagus.cz\/wp-content\/glitch-analog-150x150.jpg\" class=\"attachment-thumbnail size-thumbnail\" alt=\"\" sizes=\"auto, 100vw\" \/><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/figure><figure class='gallery-item'>\n\t\t\t<div class='gallery-icon landscape'>\n\t\t\t\t<a href='https:\/\/www.vagus.cz\/wp-content\/glitch-digital.jpg'><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vagus.cz\/wp-content\/glitch-digital-150x150.jpg\" class=\"attachment-thumbnail size-thumbnail\" alt=\"\" sizes=\"auto, 100vw\" \/><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>P\u0159er\u00fdvavost se projevuje i p\u0159i z\u00e1va\u017en\u011bj\u0161\u00edm selh\u00e1n\u00ed. Digit\u00e1ln\u00ed technologie toti\u017e kolabuje zp\u016fsobem, kter\u00fd je \u010dasto neo\u010dek\u00e1van\u00fd, nevratn\u00fd a absolutn\u00ed. A n\u011bkdy m\u00e1 a\u017e apokalyptick\u00e9 n\u00e1sledky. Ti z v\u00e1s, kte\u0159\u00ed nez\u00e1lohuj\u00ed, jist\u011b tu\u0161\u00ed. J\u00e1 osobn\u011b jsem to naposledy okusil pr\u00e1v\u011b b\u011bhem psan\u00ed tohoto \u010dl\u00e1nku. Jak ironick\u00e9! Neust\u00e1l\u00e9 tlach\u00e1n\u00ed o glitchi m\u016fj notebook prost\u011b u\u017e nevydejchal a na chv\u00edli um\u0159el. O to smutn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed bylo, \u017ee se ani nebylo na co d\u00edvat, neb se ten zatracenej kr\u00e1m vytasil jen s \u010derno\u010dernou obrazovkou.<\/p>\n<p>Analogov\u00e1 technologie zd\u00e1 se b\u00fdt v tomto ohledu obecn\u011b pon\u011bkud poeti\u010dt\u011bj\u0161\u00ed. K jej\u00edmu \u00fapadku doch\u00e1z\u00ed zpravidla progresivn\u00edm zhor\u0161ov\u00e1n\u00edm p\u016fvodn\u00ed kvality a funkcionality materi\u00e1lu. Typick\u00fdm p\u0159\u00edkladem m\u016f\u017ee b\u00fdt vyvolan\u00e1 fotografie, kter\u00e1 v pr\u016fb\u011bhu let bledne, nebo n\u011bkolikr\u00e1t p\u0159emazan\u00e1 VHS \u010di audiokazeta.<\/p>\n<p>Hudebn\u00ed teoretik <strong>Caleb Kelly<\/strong> ilustruje oba fenom\u00e9ny na srovn\u00e1n\u00ed vinylu a CD nosi\u010de: \u201e<em>Pokud je CD po\u0161kr\u00e1b\u00e1no \u0161patn\u011b, pokud je p\u0159\u00edli\u0161 mnoho k\u00f3du p\u0159ekryto nebo po\u0161kozeno, jednodu\u0161e nebude hr\u00e1t.\u201c<\/em> Oproti tomu jehla gramofonu <em>\u201ese bude sna\u017eit reprodukovat i ty nejv\u00edce po\u0161kozen\u00e9 nahr\u00e1vky a pokus\u00ed se p\u0159ehr\u00e1t cokoliv, co je na gramofon polo\u017eeno.\u201c<\/em> V t\u00e9to souvislosti p\u0159ipome\u0148me nap\u0159. Kn\u00ed\u017e\u00e1kovu <em>Broken Music<\/em> komponovanou p\u0159ehr\u00e1v\u00e1n\u00edm r\u016fzn\u011b poni\u010den\u00fdch vinyl\u016f. Zrovna tak m\u016f\u017ee za jist\u00fdch okolnost\u00ed fungovat i analogov\u00fd film. Sta\u010d\u00ed jen nahl\u00e9dnout do kuchyn\u011b experiment\u00e1ln\u00edch filma\u0159\u016f, kte\u0159\u00ed celuloid leptali, \u0161kr\u00e1bali, propalovali a jinak deformovali nebo na n\u011bj malovali \u010di dokonce lepili k\u0159id\u00e9lka a jin\u00e9 \u010d\u00e1sti hmyzu.<\/p>\n<p>Takovou legraci si s digit\u00e1ln\u00edmi obrazov\u00fdmi form\u00e1ty z\u0159ejm\u011b neu\u017eijete a nav\u00edc budete muset d\u00e1vat bacha, abyste to s t\u00edm cuch\u00e1n\u00edm nep\u0159ehnali. Pokud je toti\u017e poni\u010den\u00ed p\u0159\u00edli\u0161 velk\u00e9 nebo zas\u00e1hne choulostiv\u00e1 m\u00edsta, jako je hlavi\u010dka s metadaty, nezobraz\u00ed se v\u00e1m nic. Obdobn\u011b jako v p\u0159\u00edpad\u011b ji\u017e zmi\u0148ovan\u00e9ho CD. Nav\u00edc softwarov\u00e9 spole\u010dnosti se p\u0159irozen\u011b sna\u017e\u00ed v\u00fdskyt glitch\u016f a bug\u016f eliminovat na minimum, proto v\u00e1m t\u0159eba Photoshop p\u0159i kontaktu s pomuchlan\u00fdm souborem vyhod\u00ed jen chybovou hl\u00e1\u0161ku. A to je nuda! Digit\u00e1ln\u00ed destrukce m\u00e1 prost\u011b sv\u00e9 meze, za nimi\u017e se rozp\u00edn\u00e1 nicota, kreativn\u00ed vakuum. <strong>Jedna nula pro analog<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>A co tedy glitchartov\u00ed um\u011blci, maj\u00ed si kde hr\u00e1t? Teoreticky ano, v praxi ale kv\u016fli rostouc\u00ed popularit\u011b t\u00e9to tvorby v kombinaci s popisovan\u00fdmi limity digit\u00e1ln\u00edho \u201emateri\u00e1lu\u201c doch\u00e1z\u00ed k rychl\u00e9mu vy\u010derp\u00e1v\u00e1n\u00ed jeho kreativn\u00edho potenci\u00e1lu. Nejv\u00edce sklo\u0148ovanou \u201eob\u011bt\u00ed\u201c tohoto procesu je datamosh, kter\u00fd se z glitchartov\u00e9ho undergroundu prodral a\u017e do videoklipu k ohromn\u011b dojemn\u00e9 skladb\u011b <em>Welcome to Heartbreak<\/em> Kanye Westa. A z\u00edtra o n\u011bm nejsp\u00ed\u0161 vydaj\u00ed speci\u00e1l v Blesku. Co dodat? Vy\u010derp\u00e1v\u00e1n\u00ed mo\u017enost\u00ed tak nut\u00ed um\u011blce k objevov\u00e1n\u00ed nov\u00fdch postup\u016f a form\u00e1t\u016f a k jejich neot\u0159el\u00e9mu m\u00edsen\u00ed, v n\u011bm\u017e tkv\u00ed sou\u010dasn\u00e1 originalita glitch artu. Digit\u00e1ln\u00ed technologie m\u00e1 ale jednu nespornou v\u00fdhodu. Na rozd\u00edl od analogu se st\u00e1le dynamicky vyv\u00edj\u00ed. Nov\u00e9 standardy a form\u00e1ty budou jist\u011b znamenat i nov\u00e9 formy kreativn\u00edho \u201ezneu\u017e\u00edv\u00e1n\u00ed\u201c. A kdyby se v\u00e1m necht\u011blo \u010dekat na to, co nov\u00e9ho n\u00e1m zase softwarov\u00e9 \u010di hardwarov\u00e9 korporace vnut\u00ed, tak si prost\u011b vytvo\u0159\u00edte sv\u00e9 vlastn\u00ed obrazov\u00e9 form\u00e1ty jako <strong>Kim Asendorf<\/strong> v projektu Extrafile. Novou VHSku s p\u0159ehr\u00e1va\u010dem oproti tomu z\u0159ejm\u011b t\u011b\u017eko sestroj\u00edte doma na gau\u010di. <strong>Jedna jedna<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201eAnalog is dead!\u201c<\/em> cht\u011blo by se ve sv\u011btle technologick\u00e9ho v\u00fdvoje \u0159\u00edci. Pro\u010d se ale ti slavn\u00ed DJs po\u0159\u00e1d tahaj\u00ed s gramofony a kufry pln\u00fdmi vinyl\u016f. Scratch je vlastn\u011b tak\u00e9 forma glitche. Ostatn\u011b vznikl tak\u00e9 naprostou n\u00e1hodou, tedy sp\u00ed\u0161 nehodou. A pro\u010d je dnes tak popul\u00e1rn\u00ed Instagram, kter\u00fd se sna\u017e\u00ed napodobit nedokonalost analogov\u00e9 fotografie? My prost\u011b zbo\u017e\u0148ujeme analog, uj\u00ed\u017ed\u00edme si na n\u011bm, hlt\u00e1me jeho nedostatky. Obdivujeme jeho zjevnou materialitu, kter\u00e9 se n\u00e1m v digit\u00e1ln\u00edm sv\u011bt\u011b u\u017e tolik nedost\u00e1v\u00e1, alespo\u0148 v t\u00e9 hmatateln\u00e9 podob\u011b. Vyr\u016fstali jsme na tom. Je to nostalgie jako bl\u00e1zen. Porno na star\u00fd \u0161um\u00edc\u00ed \u010dernob\u00edl\u00fd televizi, stokr\u00e1t p\u0159emazan\u00fd VHSky a audiokazety, blb\u011b vyvolan\u00fd filmy z fo\u0165\u00e1ku a dal\u0161\u00ed analogov\u00fd biz\u00e1ry.
